Building Closed October 26th
The administration building will be closed on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 from 8am-noon. Water to the building will be shut off while maintenance is performed. Staff will be available to answer your phone calls and emails during this time. However, the building will be closed to visitors. Thank you for your understanding.

Applications will be taken at Plainfield Township located at:
22525 W Lockport Road, Plainfield, IL 60544
Friday, September 17, October 15, November 19 & December 17 from 1pm-3pm,
or until the daily sign-in sheet is full (whichever comes first).

A message from the Supervisor
It is my honor and privilege to welcome you to Plainfield Township.
For 171 years, Plainfield Township has served the township residents with services and programs such as general assistance, senior and youth services, and community programs.
Plainfield Township operates a Senior Shuttle bus, a cemetery, assesses property through the Township Assessor’s office and, has partnered with 501 (c) (3) charities to expand services to our residents. The Plainfield Township Highway Department maintains 44 miles of roads and three bridges.
In 1850, the U.S. Census data showed the population of Plainfield Township at 1,092 residents. Today, an estimated population in the Township is 81,778 and an assessed property value of $2,123,997,087.00.
From our inception to today, our main objective is still the same; to serve the residents.
As we move forward into a new chapter for Plainfield Township, I look forward to being actively involved in the community to serve the needs of our Township. My staff and I are committed to the needs of all our community in an inclusive environment.
